Default Resleeving

I would like to know if it's necessary to resleeve the Integra LS motor to run forged pistons. Also, is it true that it's better to use Honda rings with forged pistons once you're running factory bore diameter?

No, you don't have to resleeve your LS motor to run forged pistons. I use the rings the piston manufactor supplies.

No, you don't have to resleeve the ls motor to run frorged pistons. About the rings, I have JE Pistons and the XC rings come with it. I would HIGHLY recomend using their rings but they are file-to-fit, so if you don't know exactlly how to do that I would highlly recomend letting a machine shop do the ring filing and gapping (or an experienced friend...) but yah so I would NOT use honda rings... I would use XC rings. Some say gapless are nice... I don't know it's up to you... HOpet his helps.

Later,

I am a firm beliver in the fact that if you are going to open up the motor to change the pistons and rods then you may as well just go ahead and sleeve it at the same time.

Would you recommend low silicon or high silicon pistons using the stock sleeves? With pistons and rods how much boost you think the stock sleeves can handle? Would I need to use a block gaurd? Also, when you say they are file to fit which part of the rings are actually filled? Pics would be nice.

Thanks
