Remove the turbo, waste gate and bov. Them buy a tial waste gate. bov and a Garett or other name brand turbo. If you can't afford new buy used. Don't use emusa(eBay) for important moving parts(turbo waste gate, ect)

Ive seen somebody who made 370hp with one of these kits on a vitara z6 for quite a while. he ended up going way bigger though so he sold it, said it fit quite nicely. I am using an emusa wastegate and cast log manifold and its been great to me.

I think I read your post correctly but just want to verify. You plan to purchase the $600 kit and then replace the BOV and turbo with "branded" parts? Why even bother purchasing the kit if you're going to replace parts immediately?

If you want to run a cheap turbo kit it's your money to waste but don't try to justify the cheap kit by saying you'll replace a few of the parts with known quality products.

I wouldn't waste $599 on that setup. For that amount of money, you could barely get a REAL Garrett/Precision turbo so I dont know what you expect from an entire turbo kit for that price. IMO you would be much better off saving your money and buying up parts to build your own turbo kit. It isn't difficult and will be much more worthwhile than pissing away your money on eBay junk

I think you're missing my point.

Your plan is to purchase a turbo kit but replacing the turbo and BOV.

So in the end you're paying about $900 for a new turbo, $350 for a new BOV and $600 for low-quality odds and ends that remain from the preciously purchased turbo kit.

I just don't understand the logic unless there is information missing from your original post. But your statement was pretty clear, "planning get this kit but put more branded reliable Turbocharger and BOV to replace original one."

My point is very straight.. I never used their wastegate and BOV so I can not tell it is good or not. I have installed their manifold, downpipe..etc which I can not say it is top-notch prod.. but they did perform upto my expectation on money wise.. I have to take this kit to install on my buddy car in another state which is not typical garage guy.. so have to make sure those pieces not failure on set. Anyway, running on tight budget.. of course, always hope to get top one
BTW, read their log http://www.speedyracer.com/blog/speedyracer/?p=25... not that crappy..

I wonder why people start these threads asking for advice then go down kicking and screaming against everything anybody says. Good advice was given here. If you don't want to take you might as well not even bother updating the thread.

You are on a tight budget but you're wasting money duplicating parts? Why not just piece the remaining parts together separately and NOT buy the **** turbo and BOV in the first place?

Your response doesn't address anything that I stated.

And now you've stated that your on a budget yet its clear to everyone that you're wasting money by purchasing the turbo kit when your intention is to replace two of the most expensive parts of said kit. I just don't understand your logic and I really don't care anymore because the advice has been given and not taken.

That link proves nothing, just a bunch of pictures.

Best of luck but you're going about this all wrong.

I had an eBay turbo on my CRX before I bought my Garrett. When I pulled it it had a ton of shaft play and at the end it was smoking a lot. So you can do whatever you want OP I'm just trying to help out. I'm still running the mani FMIC and charge piping all work great for under 300 hp.
