Correct me if I'm wrong but the Spec-R can withstand 36psi due to it being 2.5bar</TD></TR></TABLE>
the description says it can handle 2.5 bar but that doesnt mean it has a 2.5 bar map. it would have to have a 3.5 bar map to handle that much boost. but my s200b can only handle 28 due to the 3 bar map.

I was just looking for a simple one but that gear dependent boost is tempting me. I know my car has some traction issues from the 1-2 upshift.

did they ever make a black and white Apexi AVC-R... cuz i know they did with their others... and i'd jump on it even faster if there is one out there. the blue just would clash the interior gauges, but function over form is what it comes down to so i guess i shouldnt complain = ]

Then how can the spec-r with a 2.5 map run up to 36lbs? Does the dual selenoid come into play somewhere?

I WANT IT

If I can find it, that pic just changed me over from the blitz to the apexi. Won't it look great next to the PLX and array of defi d-series gauges?

I ran an HKS EVC IV and I had no problems with it. Two boost settings and very easy to use interface. Mine is for sale if anyone is interested.

wow...850 is kinda expensive...but for what it does thats amazing.

I think i will get the AVC-R so that I can DD my car. the NLR would be awesome to have, but I think a little overkill for street setups. For SFWD...this is a MUST. lol if its legal.

for me finding this out is like a new rebirth of my faith in boosted fwd cars...this was the ultimate answer to the question of life. How to control the power so that Im having fun driving my car and not spinning my *** off. :D you guys made my month.

they are, however.. w/ hondata s200 you should be running 3bar if over 11psi. hondata does reads lower but its better not to take a chance

it depends if the sensor is atmospherical or absolute.... thats how you have all 3 bar sensors, yet some of them read differently. Like...my profec B=33psi Autometer gauge 27psi, GM 3 bar map 27psi. Just depends on the sensor. So obviously the Hondata is a atmospherical where the AVC-R is absolute.

If there is an error in what I have posted let me know...but thats what I know about it to the best of my knowlege.

</TD></TR></TABLE>

that one workes excellent - allows for 5 setggins (1 being the spring pressure + 4 others). it has boost cut feature and it works great. avc-r offers speed dependant boost control but it doesn't have boost cut feature. from what i heard, blitz sbc id hooked up to power meter will also allow for speed dependant boost control, however, you'll be paying quite a bit for both.

maybe, i'm unsure on exact reason why. i've hit past 11psi according to gauges before 3bar install, during tuning gauges showed higher reading than hondata

Our unit does not overshoot, no hunting, no stability problems, no gain to set, no overshoot adjustments, very easy to set up and also has help windows on the screen. It is the most powerful controller out there, but the simplicity in set up and function makes up for the stress a boost controller can cost you mentally.

Where do you guys mount these? I was hoping to find one I can mount in the din below the cd player where my turbo timer is. What are some good places that wont obstruct my dash? Id rather not mount it on the top of my dash or gauges.

Can that blitz spec R fit in the din under the cd player? That would look perfect right next to my turbo timer like it came straight from Acura.

I think im gonna get that blitz one. Itd look great next to my turbo timer. How easy is it to switch boost on the fly? Also how do you program how much boost to dial in? Does it just go up in 1psi increments or what?

Does anyone know where you can get the black and white edition? Does it also have the same features as the current avc-r?
