Your CAT would get loud? It's just part of the exhaust system. Doesn't make any sounds.
As far as your dump goes, I'm guessing you're talking about the wastegate dump. You shouldn't be creating any problems by routing the dumptube into the exhaust pipe.

Re: (bluesi00)
If you are running a normal 2.25" exhaust I expect some loss of power.
If you have a 3" the loss should be minimal.
If you loop the wg exhaust back in right at the turbo outlet it will generate a lot of turbulence and you will likely lose power.
So the negative is you WILL lose some power. How much depends on your setup.
It's so nice to boost 15psi and hear only the turbo screaming.

Damn that would be nice..........................
If you could re-circulate it back to your exhaust do it. Sounds stock and gives you that Sleep sound.
I hate the way mine sounds, when the wastgate opens it's nasty. I might do the same and have it re-circulate it back into the DP but space is limited, very limited in the EF.

closed loop is fine especially if your a dailiy driver. you can create it with tubing, but you can also use flexpipes and weld does on....just to give you some ideas.
