Default Received Moroso oil pan...pro and con of this part?

OK, the part that is circled in red. What is the purpose of having it in there while driving???? What is the purpose of not having it in???? This is my first time having this pan and i read some where saying you can take it out.

It's a baffle to keep oil around the oil pump pickup. It makes sure the pickup isn't starved under hard accelleration/decelleration, while going uphill/downhill, etc.

This is the new race one that allows for the full 5 qts. of oil?

Does it come already tapped for a fuel return or no? Need one of these so I don't destroy my stock one on the streets around here.

How can it use both oem oil pick-ups when the si and the gsr have pick-ups that are necked differently? When it states it will fit and work with both motors.

the pickups just mount diffrent , the ls bolts to the main cap , where the gsr bolts to the girdel , but they are positioned the same ,

Is this Lenny guy on this forum? I want to order one of these and there is no phone number, and the part does not even show up on the website, nor do most oil related products... Let me know, excellent price and will order asap.

is this the stock looking pan with the kickout at the rear? I noticed there are several different kinds ranging from 130-410 bucks. By stock looking I mean contoured metal, not the rectilinear sheet aluminum race style one...

He hardly comes on H-T so the best thing to do is just call at (305) 251-8228 and ask for him.
