Default rebuilding turbo

"before disassembling the turbo, mark the intake and turbine housings at the 12 o'clock position where they line up with the oil inlet nipple on the center housing"


what do they mean by this? and do you do the same for the exhaust side?

i'm not sure exactly what that means, but i'm sure its to keep the turbo in balance once it is reassembled

yeah i know its for balancing purpose but how do u mark it?

Yup, just make sure you mark the wheels and the compressor nut, then put it back together in exactly the same configuration.

If you do that, you shouldn't lose the balance
