Default Reasons for positive crankcase pressure?

Okay so i just got my car running and tuned at elite in mn. It made 242hp and 207tq at ten pounds of boost out of a 00 b18b. When we started up the car for the first time it was smoking preatt bad so we did a compression check and got 180 out of all four cylinders. Now here comes the question, I noticed oil was leaking around the dipstick area and i believe thats were its coming from. So in that case I assume i am getting positive crankcase pressure from somewhere. The car still pulls really hard and i dont think its the rings but i do think the head may have a bad valve seal or guide. Since ive gotten the car back I've realized that once it warms up the amount of smoke greatly decreases. Could bad valve guides or seals cause positive crankcase pressure. What other things should i be aware of that could be the possible culprits?
