Is this really a p72?

Default Is this really a p72?

I got this ecu that is suppost to be a obd1 auto p72JDM but i opend it up to change it to manual but i looks totally different. so i'm thinking is not a obd1 and is not a p72. what do you guys think.

looking at the 4 plugs, i would think obd2b

my jdm p72 obd 1 looks identical internally though

dunno if its a p72 or not but its def obd2. it has four connectors, obd1 only has 3. like this one

so if it looks like yours where is the rp18 recistor located at because mine does not have it.

yea, the 4 plugs are a dead giveaway...

it looks very similar inside to a jdm p30

It is definitely OBD2. That big square logic chip in the middle of the board is a dead giveaway.

It is not OBD-2. It is a JDM OBD-1 Automatic P72. The "C" connector is for the transmission control. These ECUs are essentially junk because they cannot be chipped conventionally.

Definatley the ODB1 P72 I got sent 1 from EGay from someone.

Good to know. I knew it was automatic, but it looks almost identical to the OBD2 P72 internally. Thanks for clearing that up.
