RC Injectors help!
Ok...I'm finally putting my car back into 1 piece after so many months. However, I found out that the RC Injectors that I got from Importparts won't fit. I mean the o-ring is bit too big. The number on it says PLA550 and it's for Eclipse/Honda. I don't want to wait for importparts to exchange injectors cuz it will take forever (sorry ben, but sometimes it does take forever)
however, is there anyway I can solve this problem like QUICK? Perhaps new o-ring? But where can I get those o-rings? anyone? help?!?
Jeff-

dunno about the 1st guy up top but the 440's should fit fine, did you push the ring all the way up? w/ a little oil? look at this thread: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=163819

You have the right injectors. The body on the Honda/DSM RC injectors is a lot fatter than stock Honda injectors (no clue why) so you either have to get RC O-rings (I believe they are available) or bore out your stock o-rings. I tried boring them out but it took forever so I just took a little material off and stuck 'em back in. Good luck, Todd.
B16 O-ring is what you need...
it'll work, trust me..we did it a few days with arturbo and Direp972

hey was that dsm 450cc for artturbo car's.... so i need some b16 o rings and i will be fine.. b/c i have some dsm 450 rite now and i need to get b16 o rings rite???
What I did was remove the hard ring that was inder the rubber o-ring. I think it was a kinda heat sheilded type of spacer. I kept the rubber o-rings and just tightened down the aftermarket fuel rail and everything seems to fit fine. No leakes whatsoever. Im sure that the heat sheilding spacers probably helped against keeping high temps touching the injectors, but im hoping that the actual fuel will keep them cool.
so lets get this straight. to get a snug and easy fit for PLA550 RC injectors into a B18C engine (USDM/JDM) all you need is B16 O-rings? no other mods?
Are we talking about the O-Rings that go into the fuel rail or the bumpers that go into the manifold? Don;t know about that part # but my old RCV 310's came with new bumpers that were shorter than the stock ones. They also came with instructions that said to remove the phenolic spacer, the old bumper, use the shorter bumper and most importantly that the injector sits ON TOP of the bumper, not inside it like the stock injectors do.
I have the 550 cc injectors and mine were a tight fit in mine also. The o-rings that go into the fuel rail took some time to wiggle in with a little motor oil and the I used the stock rings that go into the mani piece of it. The injectors went into the rings like stock. It was a tight fit and you should attach the clips prior to tightening down the rail ( I have a old style AEM rail). the clips don't wuite snap on as easily as RC310cc and 440 CC injectors for some reason. No leaks or anything.

Well, the RC 720's I bought barely used were off an ITR, and they do_not fit my 93 prelude manifold spacers without modifications.
Does anyone with a b16 have them laying around to measure the inside diameter?

i know what you are talking about, I took the stock "inj neck rings", and slid them onto a long 1/2" socket and attached to my drill and sanded them down till they fit easier, some years think 95 had a phlenomic spacer later didnt. I used astroglide as a lubricant, I alwayd use Astroglide when I have to shove large objects into smaller holes. girls I am waiting for your IM's
