RC Injector Problem...
I am in the middle of installing my RC 310cc Injectors on my 94 LS, and they dont seem to fit at all. They will fit into the gromets on the intake manifold, but they wont fit on the fuel rail. The part number is SL2-310, which I was told was the correct ones to get. When I am trying to get the injector to go into the fuel rail the o-ring stops it from entering. So what I did was just install them the first time and squish the o-ring down, but when I started the car the o-ring blew open. Has anyone else encountered this problem? If so then what did you have to do? Is it safe to bore out the stock fuel rail a bit for the injectors o-rings to fit? I also tried new o-rings, and multiple smaller o-rings at the same time, all of which where unsuccesfull. Any help would be great. Thanks a million!
I dont see how there is any feesable way for these things to fit in there. Are the RC injectors supposed to fit into the fuel rail as far as the stock ones?
Sorry I didnt get a chance to take pictures earlier...here are some pics of the injectors. These pics are of the side that goes into the fuel rail, and will not fit due to the o-rings. They also will only go half way into the fuel rail.
Sorry for the crapy pics...my damn camera keeps dying...

I tryed the ones from my stock injectors, and they didint work, there was too much play in the fuel rail with them on. Then I went to National Auto and got some of theres, and they didnt work either. If the ones I had where only a little thinner than it would fit. Has anyone else had this problem? Thanks.
too much play?
just use them and pressurize the system and see if they leak
its possible the original orings are worn out, but its also possible that you
are making a bigger deal than really is.

When he means pressureize the system he means DONT crank over the car... just turn it to the on position so the fuel pump comes on.. then check for leaks
Whatever you do (im sure you know this) dont start the car till youre sure theyre not leaking.... no fuel in the combustion chamber == bad
Good luck!
I dont think its a wrong o-ring problem although those are the wrong o-rings. Your injecters are the rodchester design, not the denso design. They do not fit in the stock fuel rails....you need to bore the rail out or make a custom one that fits that style injector.....Mike
