Re: RC injector O rings (dustin)
Ok, cause the ones that came with them really do not fit. =P
I put a stock O ring on it and it doesn't seem like it seals too well.

Re: RC injector O rings (dustin)
the o-rings that come with the rc injectors should fit perfectly. the only rings that didn't fit well were the seal rings for the manifold that came with the RC's. i don't know if you ran into this problem but, if you put the RC seal rings with the factory insulator, the injectors will sit too high.
and RC recommended to remove the seal rings and just to use the factory insulator.

Re: RC injector O rings (dustin)
They seem to sit ok in the intake manifold if I remove the stock seals, but they do not go down as far as the stock injectors (maybe 2mm too high)... the seals aren't preventing it from going down further though...
The actual diameter of the injector is too large to fit in the frigging manifold all the way.
I don't think these frigging things even fit hondas.

Re: RC injector O rings (Inlinefour)
Dustin, if Im not mistaken RC has changed the design of their new injectors. Call them up and ask and find out for yourself...do a search.

Re: RC injector O rings (Arturbo)
Well, RC is pro-lucas disc injectors and all of their injectors are disc injectors.
These are definately pintle injectors... grrr. These injectors are over a year old.

Re: RC injector O rings (immortal)
In the case that he refuses to return my money...
Anyone want to buy a set of "Brand New" "RC" "550cc" injectors. They fit honda manifolds and fuel rails perfectly, Lucas disc injectors. Never installed, never used.
I'll include the original box that has '550cc' and 'Repaired' written on it. The word 'Repaired' has been crossed out with a sharpie if that will ease the pain some.
bah.

Re: RC injector O rings (dustin)
RC doesnt use lucas style injectors for their larger sizes anymore. its kind of weird that yours are 550's. i thought the cut off point was more like 600 and up. but it looks like your missing the bottom rubber o-ring that fits on the bottom of the injector which then fits into the manifold. i wish i had a picture, but i can't find one. its thinner than the stock one and the hole is bigger.

Re: RC injector O rings (lucas569)
I jsut got my set of 720s from RC and they were strange looking from the several sets that i previoulsly owned. I upgradedfrom the 550s and mine were definantly not like that. If you looked into the end of them there were 4 small holes far back into the injectors. Anyways my 720s are pintle type and dont even have the RC stickers on them. They appear to be repainted also. The code is stamped into the injector and they are 720s. Also they are really thin (far smaller in appearance than my old 550s). I dont know what RC is doing but they dont look as good of quality as the older ones. I have an account set up with RC so i got them directly from them so im sure they are the right ones.

Well I don't know if this is anything like you experienced, but my 440's didn't fit into the intake mani quite the same as my stocks did either. Into the rail, thery were fine, but the "body" of the injector is wider than the stock units and the RC cusion wouldn't fit into the manifold either. I was told by somebody that the fat rubber grommet's aren't like the Honda units that sit in the manifold, rather they're supposed to sit just above it and seal like that.. so far so good

Re: RC injector O rings (VTC_CiViC)
Well,
1) The things do not seat into the fuel rail far enough to use the cushions... it's a metal on metal fit
2) They are too wide and will not fit far enough into the manifold for me to bolt the fuel rail down
3) They are pintle injectors
4) I bought them from this thread: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=73503
as you can see:
Never used my ***... The metal conductors in the plugs were all corroded, the plastic was worn, and they were dirty. The RC "stickers" were all gummed up and scraped off in some places.
So after I email him and tell him these are not new injectors he sends me this via email:
Hmm... suuuuure. I bet he did not even pay for these injectors, and then wanted to pawn them off on someone for more than they were worth. All I know is that I /CANNOT/ use these, and I am not willing to ghetto-engineer the fuel system on my car. Brandon better give me my money back, or he will wish he did.

as you can see:
RC 550 cc Injectors(Peak and Hold) $ 350.00 (Never Used, going bigger!)
So after I email him and tell him these are not new injectors he sends me this via email:
Dustin,
I can assure you that the injectors are new, they are about 7 months old
though. I bought them from a buddy in NC. He built his motor, bought a
turbo, bought all kinds of stuff for it. But he was trying to do it all
at once. His car was down for 15 months, and he was driving a beater.
He said enough and asked me if I wanted to buy everything. He never
hooked up the injectors, but he did pull them out and look at them.
That is why I had to wrap up the one in a paper towel. He couldn't find
the packaging it came in. The only reason I sold them is I need bigger.
