rc injector clips
im obd2 and am getting some rc 550cc sat injectors. now ive been told i can either use the rc clips or cut and rewire some obd1 plugs on my harness. which would you guys prefer?
i know i have to use the clips some way. but from what ive been told theres two ways: either buy the rc eng. clips $10 each or cut the obd1 stock plug-ins off a obd1 wire harness and wire those on my obd2 after i cut my obd2 ones off. will method 2 work
Same thing. They're both OBD-1 injector clips. Where's my stinkin' camera?
This is spare set of OBD-1 injector clips I have laying around since my car's already OBD-1.

ive seen a pic of them at http://www.kteller.com. im not real sure how they work exactly. can someone explain. id rather use the clips than cut into my harness.
my obd1 clips didn't fit my rc 860s
bought some RC clips from wiredspeed and they go right on.

Along those same lines, I tested my RC OBD-1 injector clips on a set of OBD-1 and OBD-2 OEM Honda injectors and they won't fit, but they fit perfectly on a set of RC 440's I had sitting in the room.

the reason that is becuz there is tab in the factory injector that is different than the rc clips. Rc removes that tab and therefore it fits fine.

for obd 1 vs obd 2 that is correct nothing with wiring or ohm rating or anything like that but the connector of the injector is totally different.
ummmm....my saturated 550cc injectors don't look like they need an adaptor for obd2....I got a wire harness laying around, I will go see if they plug in.
Well, they don't. Damn, I was hoping they would plug in.
Does anyone make an OBD2 to OBD1 injector adaptor..that would be a nice thing so if you have to switch back to stock quickly you wouldn't have to unsolder everything.

to me it looks as you could make your self a set from the pic above, how hard could it really be get some of each connectors and salder(sp?) in the wires, there are only 2 right? Depending on how though it would be to get the connectors

Normally when you get to the bigger, low impedance injectors you'll need to run OE nonOBD connectors (or RC)... I personally like the RC's the best because of their ease in releasing... They're just as fast as an OBDII connector, where as nonOBD's and OBDI's require a pick to unclip the connectors... I just finished up converting Will's Rex's engine loom to OBDI just using nonOBD injector connectors for his new FI motor so I took some pics but guess what I forgot to bring home from school? The god damn USB cable... Oh well, I'll have Mike bring it home tomorrow... Just my $0.02
FINALLY even tho it's not that big of a deal...
Will's Rex's harness being converted to OBD1...

All done ready to be installed on his car...

The nonOBD injector clips for his RC900's...
