Default ramhorn maninfold on CRX?

This year i have been looking for the perfect turbo manifold......and design wise, EVERYONE and their mom are building THE ideal turbo manifold.

now for my problem....... i have an LS in a 91 CRX....anyone that has boosted a b-series in a crx can vouche that it is a tight fit...... the collector on the ramhorn turbo manifold comes down quite a bit further than other designed manifolds...the crx has the lower crossmember........i am running a t3 60-1 with the S cover......i DO intend on purchasing the traction bars...but that still puts the turbo pretty low and to run intercooler piping would be a nightmare.

anyone that has pics or info would be great

if you use a backdoor style intercooler then the piping shouldn't be any problem at all.

Rotate the housing and build your charge piping so it comes off the top.
You most definatly will need to build or buy a different traction bar/crossmember.

I know the style manifold can be done with a lil work. I've seen one in a crx with an h22 so it can be done.

I've had about every possible configuration on my CRX. The best I've run so far is the ram-horn style using a custom back-door. I am using a JimFab crossmember, but it's possible to use the OEM hacked up quite a bit.

There is room to turn the compressor up too, and run piping through the wheel wells if you want like my older setup:

How are you guys holding the bumper on with no bumper support, any pics of that?
Did you have the radiators custom made to clear the roof and downpipe, or did you just use a 95 radiator? Whats the dimentions on your radiators? Thanks.

Are those bars suppose to help stiffen up the strut towers/mounts?

I think hes wondering about the bars going up to the shock towers, painted the same color as the car.

Total lack of care for front structural support....If you can't tell by the photo's the upper and lower radiator supprts are gone.

Sorry that i have to bring this thread back from the dead but i have the problem right now and the pictures in this thread aren't working anymore.

is there anyone out there who run's a ramhorn in his crx and how does it fit?
i'am most interested in the manifold to hood clearance because i have a GFK hood which is not very resistant to heat so i need some input...

Thanks
Malte.

can you tell me how much space do you had between the hood and the top of the manifold?
