Ram Horn Vs XXXX how well does it flow?
Im looking at the one-Fab Type ONE manifold. its not your conventional manifold, but looks damn nice!
how well does it flow compared to the Ram Horn style? any boost spike problems etc?

if you go to full race.com they have a video of i think ramhorn vs. some other manifold.

that was vs a log manifold. Apples to oranges.
IMO a well built and thought out EQ Length manifold should see not much difference from one to the other.
The Ram Horn is a tried and proven style.

.....but the ram horn style is not a true equal length.

My understanding is that the true advantage of the ramhorn style is in the collector.

Re: (clean rice)
I'm sure someone would be able todo a comparison for the oh so eager Honda-Tech community given people would be willing to donate money. It seems when Geoff at Full Race and Jeff Evans do tests a lot of people on here are not happy with the results due to who did the testing.

Pfffft!
You guys could always donate a turbo kit for the S2000.

I like both of them allot, but I would hafta say I like the look of the One-Fab better, plus you don't see it as much...
Gimmie pros/cons ?</TD></TR></TABLE>
that one-fad mani can be made to retain ac/ps and pump out 600+ on a b16!!!
full-race products are superior due to the robotic welds but all-in-all everyones products work great... it depends on who you feel comfortable buying from and how much you want to spend for something you like/want...

Re: (undercoverdc2)
exactly
ramhorn's primaries 1 and 4 are more than 5 inches shorter than primaries 2 and 3
But true equal length isnt exactly necessary, as many have proven on manifolds such as the mini me/elf can produce 600+ hp and these manifolds are very far off of equal lenght.
Basically as long as the exhaust pulses dont merge in the collector at the same time, you are pretty much ok.

Which doesn't mean anything, anyway. Like saying, "the sky is blue, and I like to eat fish."

Which also doesn't mean anything, because of overlapping exhaust events.
Furthermore, substantially constant pressure collector designs have fuckall to do with exhaust pulses, aside from the fact that a pulse bouncing off the turbine wheel is always going to foul out an adjacent cylinder, period. You can't tune that out of a substantially constant pressure system, although the better performing ones use long runners and larger primaries to mute the pulses... but due to the complexity of the system, longer primaries still != better.
