I agree. That's why I'm switching to an aluminum shroud that bolts to the radiator and then the fan bolts to it. I'm also expecting an increase in cooling efficiency with the 12" fan.

I actually switched to a Mishimoto in my Cobra this past summer and I see zero difference over other radiators I've run in terms of cooling. It's definitely a quality piece though that looks very well built.

In general on past vehicles I've built I've found cheaper no name brand radiators work just as good. However go to cheap and you deal with quality issues and POS radiators that spring leaks etc.

Man i diddnt know it was lifetime like even if you crash the car! ****! i feel so dumb but hey at the time the last thing on my mind was the radiator. and its been past 3 months since the accident so my warranty is no good.

having the right shroud and fan combo is alway best to maintain good cooling

I got my Go-Autoworks fan shroud today. It looks really good. The welds are really decent. It fits perfectly and comes complete with socket head stainless screws and rubber sleeves that keep the shroud from contacting the radiator.

I can't mount it like it is supposed to go due to lack of room on my car but I believe I can mod it and my SPAL fan to make it all good.

i have a go auto works and i had a ebay cxracing radiator. side by side they are virtual identical! i measured the fins and everything matched up exactly even the cap was the same.

with that said i wouldnt rave about go auto works radiators. maybe the internals are different but thats a 50 50 chance

also i truly believe the oem fan with shroud works best because of its funnel design. if you notice all motor manufactures have the same design when it comes to the radiator shroud and not some cookie sheet design we see all the time. funnel/cone shape works best for suction

He said he had the go-autoworks fan shroud not radiator.

You are correct in that the funnel or cone shape that has fan blades half in and half out is the best design. However space limitations cause even OEM manufactures to abandon that design at times. I've seen for example Ford Escapes have flat plastic shrouds that look like giant plastic cookie sheets.

Go Autoworks rad for D-series and plug-n-play fan with shroud. More than competent in keeping temps cool.

The radiator I have is double core with a A/N fitting on the side to accommodate the Garrett 2860 plumbing. The Go-Autoworks shroud went on really well and if I had a Honda or Acura would have worked as is. But, my JDM B18C Type-R is in a Mini. It's hard to believe but the 2-3/4" thick assembly of fan and shroud is too thick and bounces off one of the intake charge pipes.

I solved the issue by mounting the fan underneath the shroud. I performed a bit of aluminum and plastic surgery to make this happen. It looks really good and essentially the G-A shroud is now part of the fan.

It also seems to work pretty well. The temperature is pretty cool here today, low 60's but the car never went over 194 degrees. It didn't matter what I did, fast, slow or stopped...194 degrees. I'm pretty happy with the whole affair. I no longer have the fan hanging off the radiator with zip ties and am now sporting a pretty neat aluminum shroud.
