im not sure if that exhaust housing is for the V-band clamp, i wasnt aware that it tuck in so much. I thought that it supposed to be out a little bit.

that is not vband style exhaust housing you. That is housing where you have to get the adapter to weld on to it to make it vband. A vband will stick out with a lip and a groover
