Default QUICK TIAL ? PLEASE HELP !!!!! sorry for yelling....

now as you can see my tial is mounted on the top of my mani, i was gonna use a short runner intake, but i cant now so i have to use my stock one, the wg hits the mani a bit and i have to grind the mani a bit,

MY MAIN QUESTION:
the flange thats attached to the manifold for the tial is the one that has that circular groove, so i just put the circular washer taht fits in the groove on the wastegate, so from bottom up its: manifold flange>circular washer>wg with the gasket in there as well

this adds about 1/4" of height, do i really need that washer and or gasket? just cause i think i might have to take it off..... let me kow guys, thanks

I think the washer you talking about is the wastegate spring if it is you need that as far as the gasket I have it on my tial but someone told me you could run without the flange... oh and in your first paragraph

the wg hits the mani a bit and i have to grind the mani a bit,
do you really mean that the wastegate hit the turbo and you had to grind that... ?

no, on VW's the upper intake manifold would interfee just a bit,

i thought the watsgeate spring was a spring, and besides they are usually a color right? this is just a circular wahser that fits into the flange,
and what do you mean run w/o the flange? do you mean w/o the gasket?

I think the circular washer you're talking about is the metal O ring that comes w/ the tial. I'm pretty sure you need to put that in but as for the gasket, some people on the boards say not to use it because it's paper and will basically disintegrate. and the wastgate spring is in side the top

Maybe you can use an elbow to relocate the wastegate. A lot of people do that on here.
