Default Quick questions about my Tial 38mm wastegate.

Sorry for the post, I'd get in my garage and see for myself but it's dark as hell and my light broke.

Anyway, I got my 38mm Tial today and was wondering a couple of things about it.

Anyone know where to get a 90 degree elbow? Of course, with my god awful 88-91 chassis, it hits the hood

What are the top and size nipples used for? I was told I can plug the top with a screw and connect the side to my MBC. I thought the side nipple was for a pre throttle body vacuum source and top goes to the boost controller. Is this right?

Thanks

EDIT: Made it shorter. Ben answered some questions

The supplied bolts are used to bolt the WG to the manifold. The metal rings goes between the WG and manifold (fat side down).

We carry the elbows but are out of stock. More coming in on Monday.

The top port you leave open unless running a boost controller. Do NOT plug it up. The side port goes to a vacuum source, either from the intake manifold or the turbo compressor. Hope that helps.

My dsm friend runs the same exact wastegate but his top nipple is left open. He runs his mbc to the bottom nipple and holds steady 20psi, this shoudl work on hoosier daddys setup correcT?

I guess it's worth trying.

Mike, if I overboost and blow another motor, I will execute you and destroy your DSM.

take comfort in knowing that time alone will prob do the second of those things. If you see yourself overboosting.....stop boosting.

Can anyone confirm that a MBC would work in line with the side nipple?

Yes a MBC uses the lower hose, not the top.
