Default quick question about timer install

hey just trying to get some things taken care of before turbo install day rolls around so i figured i'd get my greddy turbo timer done. i just want to make sure i got the right 3 wires for this.

greddy manaul says for cars with 2 ignition wires, wire as follows:

red to 12v constant
blue to ON
green to ON

what i want to clarify is that:
white/black stripe is 12v constant
yellow is ON
black/yellow stripe is ON

thanks for your help

i just found this:

and it looks like i'm looking at the wrong white wire. see how theres the thick one and then the one i was looking at which has a black stripe on it

but now if i could only figure out how to get the plastic part off that covers this up.

ok i wired it up as follows:

blue to yellow
green to black/yellow stripe
red to thick white
black to ground
brown to ebrake

the timer powers on and the options seem to work but it doesn't keep the car running when i pull out the key

i'll double check my connections but im not sure what it could be

any help is appreciated

the ebrake was up and it didn't count down

i just went back out to the car, started it up, put the ebrake down for a second, then pulled it back up and then took out the key. the car was still running and the greddy timer still said 1'00" and wasn't counting down. then like 3 seconds later it just shut off the car but the timer was still on saying 1'00" so i pressed the off button on the timer.

i then started the car back up turned the timer on because it didn't turn on automatically, put the ebrake down for a bit, then pulled it up. took out the key and the car turned off automatically. with 1'00" still showing on the timer even after the car turne off

Sick!!!! I have never seen that before. It says it works with "most" Timers. Are you using it and if so, what timer are you using?

if you look on the ignition switch, like in the pics of the soldered wires you have, you will see that each wire is labled. makes it easy. Maybe you need to switch the little switch on the back of the timer?

ok, switch on the back of the timer can be set to IG or ACC. in the timer's software you can then set it to IG or ACC. in the booklet it says to match them so either both IG or both ACC.

i tried all 4 possibilities and the only one that i had any luck with was IG on the back and ACC in the software.

here's what happened:

1st time i pull out the key, cars still running, timer starts counting down. gets to zero shuts off and turns the car off. then turns back on and turns the the climate control and cluster on like as if i turned the key one notch. then begins counting down again. i let it count all the way down AGAIN and it turns off then boom comes back on.

2nd try: car's running, turn it off timer is counting down, gets to 0 and shuts everything off and doesn't come back on.

3rd try: car's running, turn it off, timer starts counting down, i drop the ebrake and it shuts off just like its supposed to and doesn't come back on.

so im thinkin its fixed.but i wanted to try again.

4th try: car's running, turn it off and everything shuts off automatically including the timer.

5th try: same as 4th

and here i am. sooo im not sure what the hell is up but i suppose i will re-solder my connections and make sure they are not loose(doubtful)

you have a full auto timer, try going and driving your car around then shut it off.

i got it working. its worked through about 15 trials perfectly.

but just now i went out to the car(maybe 15 minutes after i was last out there) and the timer had turned itself back on and had the gauge cluster an radio on...

what the hell is that about?

stop trying to sell your product lol jk. they are too expensive. u can buy a turbo timer for 40 bucks. if the harness was 20 i would buy one.

i don't get why the timer would work perfectly 15 trials in a row then stop working properly.

its not my soldering skills trust me the connections are good

how many wires is there suppose to be on the turbo timer? i got one but the previous owner hacked it all up. one end has 4 wires (red, blue, green, & black) the other has the same wires as the other BUT has a grey wire with a purple & brown wire/clip. do i use these extra wires?

the circled the extra wires in red...

EDIT: just checked and the grey one isn't used in the US. brown is the e-brake. but what i'm confused is the purple wire. it's the "speedometer/auto timer feature" what is that? from a search on here, nobody mentions this wire.

the purple wire is for using the auto-timer feature. i think also for the rpm reading on the timer. its an optional wire.

yes the brown wire is ebrake and don't use that wire thats all by itself

so i don't have to hook up the purple and brown wire, right? i just want the turbo timer to turn off the car. that's it. no RPM **** for me.

can i just hook up the 4 wires which is red, black, green and blue.....

did u ever get your timer to work?

im almost positive that you need the ebrake wire for the timer to work.

yes i had it working for about 15 trials and then it has stopped working. it doesn't count down at all anymore and i didn't change anything. im not sure what the hell is up now
