quick question about the EMS
i got a 00 honda civic EX.. been turbo for about 10K miles now... been boostin stock ever since... i was gonna go with the hondata 2B but now ive read more about the EMS, and its very tempting... mostly that it includes a boost controller and all the other good stuff.... and its also compatible with OBD II vehicles..
i only wanna boost up to 7-10 pounds.. just on my stock internals.. i was wondering if i have to change my injectors to a bigger size if i use the EMS... do i have to replace the fuel pump???? reading about the EMS plug and play gives me the idea that its just plug and play..

You can use the EMS on a bone stock honda if you'd like, so you do not have to chance anything from your current set-up if you don't want to.
However, if your running that much boost right now w/ stock injectors I'm assuming your running an FMU. When you get the AEM EMS I'd trash the FMU and run larger injectors instead. The EMS will allow you to safely map your fuel curves for the larger injectors and you car will drive the same if not better than your car with the factory injectors!
Hope this helps,
helps a lot.... thank you.. i got a vortech FMu right now... like i said im only boosting stock which is 5 lbs...
reason i wanna go with standalone is the reliability on it and less rtouble with other stuff (FMU, o2 sensor problem, etc)... 8 lbs may be even the max ill run on it for a while.. im not into too much power...

Heya tararan... pyro again...
Yes you'll have to get a bigger fuel pump in addition to the larger injectors as well. The fuel pump and larger injectors go hand-in-hand.
Other neat features I found in my AEM EMS is the secondary rev limiter... I haven't installed my EMS yet, but how it's supposed to work is like the hondata 3b. You can set a preset lower rev limit when you have the clutch depressed, to say 4000rpm. When you let the clutch out, the ECU will use the higher rev limiter (e.g.: the stock 6900rpm rev limiter). It's useful if you want to launch consistently at dragstrips. Turbo timer function is also built-in as well as an expandable boost controller as well. Just a few perks of the EMS.

Remember you'll need a solenoid still for boost control. You can set low and high boost for example. Yes you can also setup a 2 step.

solenoid, huh??? damn, how much that thing cost? im planning on keeping my car really close to stock configuration as far as tuning goes... dont wanna get too complex.. just want to tune to run the car safely...
