Quick EGT question not mani or DP
I was just wondering about mounting it on the underside of the #3 runner 2" from the cylinder. It would be at more of an angle to hide the probe wire and run it under the manifold with my oil feed for the turbo! Mostly just to make the install look cleaner!
This is the area I was thinking of.

C'mon guys 30 views and no answers. I guess I'll probably just do it anyways. I just don't want to make a hole where it will be useless!

That'll do fine. You may want to do some research on tuning with egt's....It's not straightforward like with a wideband. For example you have to watch it all the time at first and get used to what norms are for you car in given situations. If you see your egts are suddenly lower then normal it's actually a sign of detonation.

Re: Quick EGT question not mani or DP (Dmc1)
I'm not going to tune with it. I just figure that it is a better way of keeping tabs on things such as detonation, compared to a narrow band! Thanks for the tip on the lower than normal egt's though. I will have it professionally tuned, then maybe mess with some things later down the road!
