Default quick ? about inline fuel pump and fmu

when installing the inline fuel pump, where do you exactly want to cut the fuel line? also, lets say you cut more then half the fuel line just to fit the inline fuel pump, are you going to be adding more pressure to the return line? please expalin...and yea i know i should just get my ecu chipped and tune. thanks

put the inline pump after the filter, before the rail.... put the fmu after the stock fpr in the return.

like dave said hook it up like that.

sooner or later the inline pump will draw through the intank pump and yes you increase rail pressure by how much the FMU clamps on the return. i am goin out on a limb and say it is a 12:1 rise rate, so, 38 psi static, + 8 psi boost x 12:1 rise = 134 psi fuel pressure. the pressure is in the rail, and since you are cramming fuel through the injectors, the return side should be actually a little less. because of the increased volume goin through the injectors.

thanks for the responds...ok, so i did all that...now, why is it that my return line on the fmu has expanded to double the size it should be. i have all the fuel line clamped down. if i didnt do that the fuel would litterly squirt from the return line by the FPR. any thoughts to why my return line has expanded?

the lines go in through the outter ring and out the center. maybe they are hooked up backwards.

no...i hooked it up right. i even found the diagram for how to hook it up on here and looked at my friends setup too. does it matter where i cut my fuel line for the inline fuel pump ( half way, less then half way, more then half way, or even cut off a good 3in of the hose off)? let me take to some pictures so you'll get a better understanding of what im talking about.

on my inline pump installs, i cut the rubber line between the filter and the rail. where in that line shouldnt matter.
