I was driving down a main road when i decided to give it some gas in third at around 3 thousand rpm,s. The car starts to go the stutters so i let off. I then start to smell fuel, so I pull over and look. I had a big hole in the fuel line going from the regulator to the fmu. Any idea why this would have happened?? Too high fuel pressure? I have stock injectors with a 12:1 Fmu and an msd inline pump.

why??? because you're runnign an fmu 12:1 and fuel pump thats why. with this fuel setup your fuel will see over 100 psi which probably cause u to blow the line. go with the 450cc injectors and smc.

too much pressure... fmu;s are junk.

So this would cause me to burst a fuel line?

yea id say....over 100 psi.....say around 120 psi of fuel pressure for 10 psi of boost with a 12.0:1 fmu.......thats alot of pressure.....upgrade the hose you are using or upgrade the injectors and get a "smaller" fmu disc like a 10.0:1 or 8.0:1

I used to have problems with fuel lines leaking when i was using a 8:1 fmu but I havent had any problems since I dropped to a 4:1....

drop the fmu and get 450cc's and SMC+. you can actually TUNE with that setup...
btw, you can sell the FMU for $100, and that would pretty much fund the SMC+. then the 450cc's are like $70 on top of that....
in addition, drop the check valves/missing link

same thing happend to me when i had a fmu setup...


i was on the highway doing about 80 or so when it happend

gas sparying all over your engine that is really hot


getting an aem ems and not having that issue no more

But im only running 5 psi, i figured it would be fine for that? When is the smc 500 coming out??
