Default Questions concerning switch from Uberdata to Crome

Well UD has pretty much been pissing me off ever since I started using it a year ago. I could deal with everything up until now, but I tried to install a 2.5bar MAP yesterday and Uber freaked out.

So it's kind of like the straw that broke the camel's back. I'm tired of dicking with it. Many people say good things about Crome, so I'm thinking of switching.

My questions are:

1. Is Crome that much better?
2. Does Ostrich work with Crome?
3. Are Crome tuners easier or harder to find compared to UD tuners?

1. Yes
2. Yes
3. A little harder because some people are too cheap to buy the pro license.

Also, how do you make a basemap with Crome? Does it come with Honda maps like UD?

why did it freak out with the 2.5bar? I've tuned a lot of 3bar setups with uberdata, but never really tried a 2.5bar. I would expect it to work fine.

The version I use doesn't have the right scripts for the Motorola MAP. I downloaded the updated version with the right scripts, but it won't let me import my current bins.

So I'd have to find a way to update my currents scripts, or I'd have to start from scratch with the ubdated version.

I'm really just tired of all this BS.

I believe tha cromePro is easier to tune and use. Crome currently has more support and on going developement. In my opionon crome superior to UD, because of it currents status with PGMFI.org, and it's developers. UD is free, but Crome pro has some very usefull features.. If you feel like learning more a about the two programs, I would go to PGMFI.org and start reading the Crome/Uberdata forums.. U will learn alot more and understrand the feaures of crome amd UD much better.

Ick, I don't want to learn any more. I've spent the last two years becoming an Uberdata god - I really don't want to start over again with Crome.

I'm thinking maybe I should just get out of the DIY stuff. I've already been in separate fights with two random neighborhood dads because they got tired of me doing street pulls and they ran into the street and jumped in front of my car. I had to contain myself from beating that last guy to death.

Plus, I can sell my arsonal of Moates goods and already be well on my way to the cost of getting professionally tuned. I just don't want to get stuck not being able to find a tuner.

Any good SoCal Crome tuners come to mind?

if you know what you are doing with Uber than switching to Crome should be easy.

Go to PGMFI.org, under "Crome development," under the newest fuel tools, the 1.14 version with the new version of fuel tools is uber nice.

Im currently running the 2.5bar with Crome and its been working very well so far. Just last week i was at a point where i was ready to buy the s300 just to see how well it worked b/c, like yourself, ive been dicking around with Uber and Crome for the last 2 years and honestly sometimes its very frustrating. I'm at a point with my car where, i'm busy and i just want to get from A to B, i don't need weird quirks happening. BUT... the version mention above is making me very happy.

If you are a Uberata God you wouldnt be asking these easily found questions. Both programs are very similar and if you are a tuner the fundamentals and basics are the same in the two programs. Chrome is better though. More help and cleaner and faster to use. Deffinetely would reccomend to anyone,

"Uberdata god"

I sure hope that if you do use Crome that you spell it correctly.

Chrome is the shiney stuff on spinners. Crome is the bling found in the ecu.

http://www.tunewithcrome.com contact John Cui and pay the $450, and you're a dealer.

CROME = <U>C</U>ui's <U>ROM</U> <U>E</U>ditor

The new fuel tools ARE great I just tuned two cars with 600cc+ inj. the past week, Both run and IDLE so nice.. But little more work will be done to fine tune the plugin..
