Questions about building my block.
OK so here is what i'm gonna build. Dunno if i'm going to use my current block or find another to build on the side....anyways i'm gonna rattle off some parts let me know what you guys think. The goal i'm reaching for is an extremely drivable car, could be a daily if need be. With the ability to be a beast both with or w/o boost. Running 14~18 PSI daily. Here's the game plan, i'm gonna do it......
MAJOR stuff
Crower 62403 cams
Crower Valve Spring and Retainer kit
Gasket match P&P job
Wiseco or JE/SRP....undecided on brand
(the C/R is a toss up between 9.2:1 and 10:1)
Eagle Rods
MINOR stuff
Balanced crank
GSR/ITR crank girdle, oil pickup, windage tray, oil pan
b20/ITR oil pump
JG Blockguard
ARP head studs
redline @ 8000 RPM
I've already been looking and pricing parts, costs etc. And honestly I should have to drop too much $$ to get all of this done(relavtively anyways).....I should have less in the motor than in the turbo kit. Hit me back

Pistons: Wiseco or JE
You can't go wrong with either! I have have great experiences with both brands!
CR: 9.2:1 - 10.0:1
Personally, I like 9.0:1 CR since you can run more boost if you have the correct fueling! I would suggest 9.0:1 - 9.5:1 CR! Just my preference!
Rods: Eagle
Can't beat them for the price! I am thoroughly impressed with these rods. They have handled everything I have given them! I see no advantage of paying $200.00 more for Crower Rods!
Blockguard: Nufornz
I know there is a lot of skeptisism about Blockguards, but I am a firm beliver in them. They help where the cylinders need help the most; up top! Especially when running boost! It i scheap insurance in my opinion!
Headstuds: ARP
Defenitely needed!
