I'm putting a 18G kit on my 01teg next weekend, I have Hondata coming UPS with ECU and a base map for a boosted GSR with my size injectors. Now will I have to tune it myself some before I drive it, or will a base map be cool for a few days. Its a long drive to Torrance

basemap...is safe to drive on, but not to boost. The basemap is made for the purpose of getting your car on the road and to get you where you need to be. Drive slowly, keep the rpms low, and don't put too much throttle. Once your on the highway, you should be safe because your crusing at stable RPMs with a steady throttle.

So just stay cool on the streets, and out of vtec on the highway? I can do that.

 

Should i just wire in the blue box for now, and just pop in the Hondata and ECU in the tuner's parking lot when I get there? I know a bunch of you guys have been in the scenario, what do you guys think?

 

yeah..wiring in the bluebox from Greddy is what I would do. And then just slap in the hondata at the dyno. Will you be using the 310cc injectors that Greddy provided for you in the kit?

Yeah I'll be running the 310s until about Thanksgiving time.
