Default A question on what your using to keep your A/C

I was wondering what manifold and IC people are using to keep their A/C in the EK body styles.

What I got is a 99 CX with a B18C and I'm putting a T25 off an eclipse on it. I'm guessing the IC will have to have the inlet and outlet on the same side.

So I was wondering if people would show their builds with what they are using to keep ac.

Thanks.

And on search ac is too short of a word and hardly anyone types out air conditioning, thats why I'm asking.

well, for one thing, you're better off going n/a than running a T25 on a b18c. Seriously. Get a bigger turbo, like a T28 or something, if you must remain t2 flanged and on the super-tiny side.

As for manifolds, there are a/c compatible manifolds available. You might ahve to move the condenser and fans around.

I'm not looking to gain alot of power or anything, I'm just bored and have this turbo laying around already and don't want to buy a bigger turbo. Thats why I'm using a t25. More just for fun then for GO FAST MADTYTE FAST AND FUUURRRIOUS. Just for fun.

all the extra money required to get a complete turbo setup ready, but you won't sell that and spend a little money on a turbo worth running?

Good luck.

i have a LS in an ek and i'm piecing together an ac compatible turbo kit too. For the manifold i got a cast blox log manifold, pretty much most cast logs will be ac compatible. since you're running a t25 i'm assuming you're going with the internal gate, and since you're not looking for a lot of power you'll be okay with a cheap ebay log (wastegate placement won't matter since you're gonna have to block it off anyway) you can get one for <100$. you need to get an ac compatible downpipe also, and you'll be good to go.

Agreed...just built a turbo car and kept my AC....be prepared to spend $3-4k for even a cheap build, which won't be worth it for the power you will make with that turbo. You'd be better off selling it and doing some cool N/A build man.

However, if you say its just for fun, either drop the loads of money for minimal power, or get rid of your AC and built a cheap turbo build.

It's not easy to find cast manifolds in T2 flanges.

3k for a cheap build jesus H where are you shopping at? is the compressor housing covered in gold? I'd say under a grand if he wants to go cheap and 2k if he wants to build himself some nice quick spooling low end power with that t25. And [freak] anyone who thinks they can be a dick and then put good luck at the end of their post and think its alright.

seriously you know with how much your head flow syou will probly lose power past 6 grand right? it doesnt matter how much power your looking for that turbo barely flows enough are to make the same power your making now.

YOUR CAR WILL BE SLOWER with that turbo, it will prolly fall on its face in the high R's

say that to my face, junior.

Do you think it's equitable to run a t25 on a b18c? That t25 will sure give low end power. And it'll choke up and be stuffing the motor with superheated air beyond that. Choke the hell out of it.

Soo, good luck to you, gmcawd.

I understand wanting to use what you've got, but just because you have it doesn't mean it's the most logical or wise thing to use on your application.

Again, there are few cheap log manifolds with T2 flanges to be found for b-series motors, because nobody runs them.

ugh, i hate when people who know NOTHING try to give advice.

please dont put a T25 on your gsr. it will seriously be a waste of time. if you wanna keep a/c and keep the T2 flange, the greddy manifold/turbo is the way to go. i picked up my greddy kit for under a grand, replaced the shitty fuel management with crome, made a real downpipe, and got it tuned on 10 psi. makes great power, and my a/c is colder than the arctic.

Yeah that gmcawd guy don't know **** he actually lives in my town, and every time I see him driving around his turbocharged gmc, or that stupied turbo regal he used to have or one of his turbo civic projects that he has I think to myself "that poser really needs to get his ***** up and listen to some of the [pejorative]s on honda-tech and absorb their infinite wisdom about turbocharging vehicles.
