Question: what do I have to do to get 275-300 ft pounds of torque out of a B SERIES,
My goal, I see my car is fast and can perform but I am tired of honda haters and their "no torque" comments and they are all very valid and true, i want a street driven b series turbo motor and I want 275-300 ft pounds of torque at the wheels, If you have any set up Ideas or tunning ideas. Or if you have done this or are anywhere close let me know your set up. Let me see what you guys have.

You will need like 16-20 psi, depending on the set up. If you do a LS/vtec with 84mm pistons it will help you out.
Just remember alot of torque can make the car faster but it can also lead to more tire spin, which will make you slower

your going to be in the high 400, to low low 500 hp range, and EITHER of the afformentioned numbers will be no fun on the street, so u the torque wont be as fun as if it was in a RWD car as Falcon stated earlier..

unless you are over 400 hsp on a decent size turbo, your gonna have to have a bore of 83mm or bigger. when i ran around 510-520 hsp on my 81mm sleeves, i was only making 315-320 torque(t4 62-1 @ around 26-27 lbs). on the same size sleeves @ around 350 to the wheels i was only making 260 ftlbs of torque(t3/4 small/can't remember the trim, @ around 19-20 lbs of boost).
i'd go with 84mm sleeves and a 60-1 turbo. you'll see nice torque numbers with that. especially for a street set up.

just remember torque can be multiplied through your gears. 300ft'lbs of torque through a 3.73 DOES NOT feel the same as 300ft'lbs through a 4.40. u gotta remember that even though jinxproof's car was putting 300ft'lbs to the ground he was accelerating just as fast as a corvette w/ over 400ft'lbs cause of the gearing.

is 250 doable? I mean that aint ****, we SHOULD be able to get that but, i see so many cars with like 350 or so horse and barely over 200 ft pounds of torque. Just a question really why most every other turbo car has torque and hp and the numbers remain constant and why our torque even with a damn turbo remains so much lower then our hp. I mean it really doesn't mean anything My car is fast but I just doesn't have the same jam you in the seat fast as a car thats just as fast with torque does.

Look at how much displacement all these other cars with lots of torque have. Look at how much displacement you have. There's your answer.

If all you want is torque, it might be easier to reach your goals by using a stroker crank. You might limit your RPM limit, but that won't necessarily hurt your torque, even tho it surely does hurt peak hp. There are aftermarket and OEM 95mm stroke cranks available for Bseries engines. With an 84mm bore that should put you close to 2.2L.

I put down 240tq with 10psi and 83mm pistons on my b18c1. t3/t4 turbo. It doesnt take a whole lot to make torque. 300 sounds like a lot, and would be nice. believe me 240 is plenty for the street

Torque is nothing if you can't put it to the ground. So unless you want to run full slicks on the street, there's no point.
Plus, spinning to 9k rpms with a turbo screeeeeming @ 20+psi is so much more fun!
