a question for those looking for a turbo....
i have a t3/t4 Turbonetics Ball-Bearing turbo sitting at turbonetics... it requires a rebuild....
i'm contemplating whether or not to have them rebuild it...
as it sits... it's a 54 trim, .48 a/r with a stage 3 exhaust wheel...
it's going to cost me $720 to repair this turbo...
would anyone be interested in purchasing it either fixed or as is?
any thoughts?

oh yeah...
forgot to mention... when this turbo had a .63 a/r housing on it...
it would spool at 2500 rpms...
full boost at 3000 rpms...
and would still spin with the engine off...
fun turbo...
easily upgradeable

well just as long as there's still oil in the turbo,
the ball bearings will let the shaft of the turbo to spin....
until rotational momentum has stopped...
this happens because the ball bearings have far less coefficient of friction than the bushings in standard turbos.
