you all need to grow up and learn how to debate without getting into a pissing match.

Thank you for all of your opinions and facts; dynos speak for themselves. Personally, I am a fan on non-vtec b20's, just because of the reliability issues associated with the head swap.

^ im pretty sure he doesn't go diesel considering only EDM has diesel Honda's.

VTEC heads do flow better.. more CFM = more HP plain and simple. 1.45 cfm = 1 hp.

Torque is what gets you going, HP is what keeps you going. It's important to have torque (durrrr), especially in REAL racing aka autocross.

Actually u are all right. But what you dont get is that vtec killer cams use only the high cam profile all the time. SO yes it does lighten the valve train but it has a lumpy idle or wont idle. These cams are not ment to be run at low rpms. And Im done with all the vtec **** who really cares. My car runs great and I go to national events in my area so if you guys are from east coast we can race there instead of racing our mouths. Not everyone with out vtec is slow either. Hell talk to Hucks he is running an ls head. I believe its going 11.01 on 225 Drag RADIALS. But anything can be fast. Drag racing isnt about who has vtec or how high it taches. Its about driving but more so about who's wallet is DEEPER. HAHA thanks for the laughes though guys cause you guys get too pissed, just race and have fun.

quote; And id like to see you make 500 wtq without having 800 whp. HAHAHAHAHAHA vtec isnt worthless but you dont know **** so shove it. I can make 500 whp and 450 wtq.
you mean you NEED 450 wtq to MAKE 500whp!
i know that hp is a calculation of torque and rpm but why did you think that somebody came up with that formula in the first place? hp is the actual thing that pushes the car forward. btw u use torque for low end and thats wrong also. sure you need some low end but 450wtq is to much for a leight weight fwd! key is finding the perfect line that you are able to put down! and a lot of boosted vtecs have got nice power curves! any dragracer will choose a vtec head over a non vtec head. with a small displacement engine.

I guess ... Well meet me at the nopi nationals and we can see who is faster.

Never said it was worthless either ... but why cant a non-vtec be fast??? I dont get you honda-tech people... vtec this vtec that.. ok its great and all but people make fast cars without it too. Thats all I tryed to do and my powerband is very good thank you very much without it. You guys all got sand in your vagina's. Who gives a **** really. Its a honda dude if its your life im sorry thats sad. Get a girlfriend or something.

I still say it if you guys want nopi nationals in october lets see what you got. Free invite for fun maybe you can learn a little about non-vtec while your at it.

O and any drag racer will choose what ever he wants. I know many with H motors that picked the H23 without any vtec head and it runs just as good if not as good. Each motor has its good and bad. Non-vtecs have a broad torque band where as the vtec makes more power up top. Each can be good in drag or what ever. YOU DRIVE WHAT U WANT.. Every one happy now.. Never wanted to fight with a bunch of girls just thought it was funny hahaha..

Non-vtecs can be fast sure. The reason the vtec engines are so great is the heads are so much better then the non-vtecs stock for stock. Not only do they run monster cams stock (ie the vtec lobe), but the heads are designed for huge flow. The non-vtec heads and cams not so much.

However its not to be said that can be changed. I run a non-vtec head with HUGE cams and full headwork and i make very good power.
