Question for SRT-4 owners w/ Stage 1 upgrade
I've seen a few SRT-4 owners on here, so here's a question for you guys:
If you have the Stage 1 upgrade, can you hear the blow-off valve? I've heard it's really quiet and that if you want the loud whoosh, a different after-market BOV is better.
What do you think?

Quick question would an aftermarket bov do anything against the warrenty,i mean they sell the plate, but i dont know if they only allow the mopar bov.
Sorry if i hijacked but it related.

the bov plate DOES make it pretty loud. 2 of my friends have them and they can out-woosh my 1G DSM bov any day of the week. an aftermarket bov would probably be louder, but the plate is a pretty cheap way to get the sound.

ok, the stock bov bolts the compressor side of the turbo... mopar sells a plate that bolts between it and the compressor to make the bov vent to the atmosphere

Actually, I'm curious about this, too. Let's say I bought a '05 SRT-4 and put an HKS BOV on it. Would that void any of my warranty?

how is that retarded?? im referring to srt-4 owners being soo scared of voiding warranty, yet they talk soo much **** about turbo hondas being slow. just check out srtforums.com. and the 02+ civic si is faster with a basic rev hard kit.

Re: (kasso)
The mopar bov is not actually a bov...just a plate which is stated above. Once you get higher in boost levels or modding it really does not serve the proper purpose.
The BEST bet for a real bov but on the stock flange and the only two avail that I have found are forge, and boomba. Those are the only two people who I have seen make a stock flange/aftermarket bov. Get one of those for direct PROPER replacement.

Why would they wanna void there warranty when they can make 350hp w/ a warrenty,it doesn't make sense. But you go ahead and put boost on your new car, have fun.

Agreed. To single out one group of car owners and basically say, "Oh, you **** are so terrified of losing your warranty..." is just plain ignorant.
Show me anyone with a new car that they love, and I guarantee you the vast majority of them will be at least somewhat mindful of keeping the warranty intact.
