Default Question on priming turbo...?

ok from what i understand it is best to prime the turbo before you start it up. i have read that you need to disconnect the oil drain line from the oil pan and put it into some sort of container. then you remove the fuel pump fuse and crank the starter over a few times till oil starts to come out the return line. but the part that i dont get is that when you disconnect the return line, wont oil come shooting out the oil pan from where the line usually is? what do you guys do about that? thanks for any help
