Default question on piping

hey guys i have a 94 civic ex and the intercooler piping is connected to the side of the turbine instead of the top will it be okay?will it run the same let me know!! or is it bad for the turbine

one pulls air in the other pushes out. if you look at the side with
the turbine in plain open veiw thats what sucks the air.
if you suck air from the motor and dump it out into the
atmosphere your being counterproductive to your motor.

so does that mean i should just pipe it to the top of the turbine?
