i got a question about turbo. i was talkin to a guy at the track last friday and he said he had 580whp b18c turbo. w/26psi boost he said he's putting in nitrous for the next event, and hopefully break into the 10's.
why would it help to have nitrous? why dont he just turn up the boost another 5psi? is there an advantage w/n2o w/turbo??

yes you can launch at a lower rpm meaning that tires will grip up sooner. once launched and gripped you shoot the nitrous to get the turbo spooling to elminate lag. and from there its all shifting.

that makes sence. but i asked him if he was gonna launch with n2o and he said no, "im only gonna spray in 3rd and 4th."
is there any advantage after 1st gear?

The intercooling effect, as well as the torque, can be beneficial. However, your cylinder pressures will be sky high.

He may just be using a smaller turbo that will lose efficiency at any higher boost levels?? Most pros only use the nitrous for the spool up and maybe a little cooling
Do you have any idea what his turbo specs were?
