I know many people who have a 4/5 bolt 2.5" exhaust housing. I have seen a few people who run a 3" dp.

Question: Do they bolt it to the 2.5" housing or do you upgrade the housing?

 

i have one turbo with a 5 bolt 2 1/2" opening and run a 3" downpipe on it...it just bolts right up

some people think that because the outlet is only 2 1/2" that it won't do any good to have the downpipe bigger, but it does make a good difference...alot less backpressure and better spool, more power

 

I am running a gt32 and didn't want to taper my downpipe to 3". I just didn't think it seemed right to bolt a 3" pipe to a 2.5" hole- I guess that is how most people do it though.
