a friend of mine has an 89 si with a ZC swap and is planning to do a b16a swap soon. he wants to build it up and supercharge it. He was wondering if the vortech supercharger would fit in with no problem or if he would have to go with another supercharger, like a JRSC. What do you guys think?

 

i've never heard of anyone putting a vortech on a b16a1. but dont let that get you down. if you read enough on this board, you'll soon find:

turbo > jrsc > vortech

it depends of course what you're trying to get out of your car though. for example, i'm going jrsc on my car real soon, even though everyone is trying to tell me to go turbo. without getting into the debate, just read a lot about the differences before making a decision, to see whats right for you.

 

well it's not for me, it's for my friend. I personally have an EG, but I do know they make a Vortech supercharger for the b16a, just don't know if it will fit in his hatch with a b16a, that's all. Thanks anyway for the help, I'll tell him to keep researching.
