Default Question about storing a boosted honda

Well, I'll be leaving for another rotation in Iraq on the 11th . My question is should I take any special measures when storing my racecar for the year long deployment?

It will be stored in an enclosed storage container

My engine builder reccomended pouring some oil into each cylinder and cranking the motor by hand a few turns to lubricate the cylinder walls to prevent the rings from sticking.

I'll be removing the battery, of course

My main concern is... Should I seal up all the breathers on the motor, block breather and valve cover breather?.......or would this cause condensation to form inside the motor, giving me issues??

The motor is a fully built head and block w/GT35R......etc, etc.

Any other advice you guys can give, to help me come you to the same car I left would be greatly appreciated

Oil in the cylinders is good. Also drain all gas.

Keep it safe in Iraq and thanks for your service!

yeah i was thinking, would it be beneficial to stick a hose down through the spark plug hole and spray in there with wd-40 to keep the walls lubricated?

where are you going in Iraq? I am in Baghdad right now and will be here for awhile.

When I left I covered all the filters and what not with trash bags so nothing would get into it. I also covered any open areas in the firewall so rats couldnt get in lol...

Funny you mention that. A buddy of mine had the cam gear cover cut out to look cool or whatever. I told him he would look cool as soon as something flys up in there and ruins his motor. Later that day turned out a rat had climbed in the opening and destroyed the motor as soon as it was cranked. So, it does happen!

Thank you for your services, 2k! Dont you have a buddy nearby that can crank it up once in a while?

Make sure you do a oil change and dont drive it once you do the oil change. Just start it up for like a 2 minutes just to get the new fresh oil everywhere. Dirty oil can eat away at your bearings because of the acids in it. Along with everyone else said up top. Good luck out in Iraq!!!
