Question about gauges
I plan on running up to 5 standalone gauges and was wondering if there is a limit to how many electrical gauges I can run in terms of the wiring. Is it possible to wire 5 gauges and still achieve some sort of way to differentiate them or will it just become a big jungle of wires? Debating whether I should shell out the extra $$ for Defi Link system....
Also if I install a coolant and oil pressure gauge, will this disable the stock coolant gauge and oil pressure light?
TIA

Re: Question about gauges (Pat)
you can tap the thermostat housing for a coolant gauge...and for the oil pressure, you can run a line to the firewall and mount the stock sensor, and the new sensor on a tee

Re: Question about gauges (B18EG6)
Ha ha!! Speaking of a big jumble of wires:
I installed four Greddy gauges, Hondata, J&S Safeguard and FJO wideband all at once. See my glovebox on the right in the passenger seat? I have my four gauge sender units, Hondata and Safeguard in it. My FJO went in the AC evaporator case which is on the floor on the pass side.
As long as you take your time and label the wires, you'll have no problem. Oh, and like B18eg6 said, you can keep your stock sensors.

Re: Question about gauges (Farnsrocket)
I have no pic but I installed 3 greddy gauges, one apex-I tach, FJO wideband with monitor, greddy turbo timer, greddy Profec-B, Indiglo gauge ( yes it's gay but been in there for so long it's antique), Alarm system, AC/DC converter, and CD player. I have to say there is a wholla of wires but definatly do able. Try to find different sources of Ignition power and constant power much as you can so no one unit will die out. I say that because I used to have fourth gauge which is Greddy A/F and that unit need lots of power.
