That greddy turbo won't even fit the manifold anyways. I'm guessing that manifold your talking about has a t3 flange? The flange on the turbo will be different. Just build your own kit. Don't wast your money on anything greddy.

Just get that manifold... and start from there, assuming thats the route you wish to go.

Re: question about a different manifold with greddy kit (splitime)
my biggest problem is that i dont know which turbo to get...should i take specs off of the gt28 and go with that....i have a b18c1 rebuilt with probe 10.6:1 forged pistons and rods are stock except new rod bolts

i would get the peakboost manifold and pick up a gt28 with the t3 housing

I'd lower the compression since it's a daily driver on pump gas. I'd also get the gt28rs, not the basic gt28.

not lowering the compression...not an option, i dont plan on running more than 10lbs anyways

Suggestion... stop thinking in PSI and start thinking in HP. 10 psi from a t25 is not the same as 10psi from a GT40...
HP/pressure breaks stuff... not PSI output from turbo.

i meant 10psi on the greddy kit....i should be able to run 10psi on anything up to and including gt28r

Re: question about a different manifold with greddy kit (Soccerking3000)
i know, but on with my setup, people...people that are probably much wiser than u soccerking....are tellin me that i can run prob 10-12 psi especially with a 18g greddy kit and if i got a full race (which includes a gt28r) i can still run 10psi if i get a good tune...using uberdata as EM

the 28r is pretty much the same size as the 18g, if you are looking for around 260 whp either of those turbo's will get you there. The gt28r is just gunna spool faster it wont make greater peak horsepower...

and to make sure we are tlaking about the same thing there are 3 variants of the gt28... the gt28r (300), gt28rs (340), and the gt2871r(400)...

Sigh, I give up... that is 2 people today I've tried to talk to about how PSI isn't the issue... and it just gets ignored.
I'm out.

uhhh there is going to considerably more lag in a gt3040r over a gt28r...

A gt35r is overkill on any street setup. A gt30r will put down 550whp which is plenty on power and it will spool a good 1500rpms faster than the gt35r, so if you want decent street/strip setup this would be a perfect turbo. A gt30r will give you about 350-400whp at 10-15psi on a GSR.

When you are talking octane and compression it is wise to speak in terms of boost.

But there you are entering other factors... and the PSI is still not that signficant... its the CFM that makes the difference
