Default Question about the 92-95 greddy turbo kit

I know this question probably gets asked a lot but i searched and i couldnt find a straight up answer. Does the 92-95 greddy turbo kit fit on a y8 without modification? Some people said that it fits right up and others said it needs to be slightly modified. Also with the blue box kit work with a 99 ex. Is there any difference in the computers?

thanks in advance

I have had the Greddy Kit and don't see why it wouldn't fit. It may require slight modification but nothing drastic.
Mine had a black box on it so I can't say for the blue box. I would ditch it and get hondata anyway or use the "hack" setup.

What would need the slight modification? If i get the greddy kit i would ditch the blue box and probably get a hondata, but that wouldnt be right away. I would only use the blue box until i got one. Does anyone know if the blue box would work for a 99ex?

Some cutting or drilling to get it to fit. Nothing major if it needs this at all.

I PM'd you regarding that you are only about 25 minutes from me.

I have a 92-95 kit on my 97 ex, d16y8 motor just like you. No mods needed to install other than relocating your o2 sensor (I got a harness from DC Sports), wiring the blue box using the 99-00 diagram (www.turbocivic.net for diagram) and I think that's about it. I love my greddy kit.

From what i have learned at turbod16.com, it will bolt up with no mods (unless you count moving the o2 sensor) but the blue box runs richer than Donald Trump and your gas mileage4 might go to hell. So, I agree with the guys, get a vafc hack, second gen if you can, and some massive injectors.

hey let me know how it goes. I probably will do the same setup.

wrong. I get 31 mpg with moderate boosting @ 7psi, so I don't know why people keep saying that.
