Default Purchasing T3, need help identifying problems

So I'm about to go check out a partial turbo setup which includes a T3 (from a 300ZX), exhaust manifold (with wastegate) for b-series and some other misc parts (no details yet). I am concerned about the T3 (with no rebuild) having leaks or other problems, as well as the manifold on it's verge to having damage? If you have any advice on what problems to look for with the T3, manifold, bov, wastegate... and how to identify them. Your information and advice will save me a few hundred so I really appreciate it.

PS. I will also take pictures of the setup when I go see it.

Look for cracks in the manifold...Turbine shaft play, there will be some but if its more then a couple mm then it may need a rebuild.

So I just play around with the turbine using my finger to see how much it moves in and out? What is an acceptable amount, that you personaly would be fine with (mm)?
