Purchaced and Recieved my 402T-2 LS cams, No Crower Stamp?
Did crower change the way they make their Honda/Acura LS/RS camshaft's?
Well I just received my Crower 62402T-2 (sage 2 turbo nonvtec) cams. I baught them from some1, not a dealer for crower. They came in a Crower box with the following stamp on the side of the box:
Acura 1.8 RS/LS DOHC TURBO CAMSHAFT (PRICE PER PAIR)
62402T-2
The cam's look brand new, but unlike the last set I had. They do NOT have the crower logo stamped on either. Did they stop stamping the logo into the camshaft?
Exhaust Cam:
Only thing I can see is a (C) that is stamped (extended out in the mold) and says "5" stamped by the (C). further down it says R5 and then says 75, "EX"
Intake Cam:
Only thing I can see is a (C) that is stamped (extended out in the mold) and says "7" stamped by the (C). further down it says R1 and then says 75, "EX"
Also on my old set I used to have the part number ingraved into the tip of the cam. These do not.
The cam's are spotless and apear to be "brand new" but I dont see any of the old signature marks as my old set. I didnt know if they changed the way they make them or if maybe, I got ripped off.
My old set were 402 NA stage2 from year 2002/3 I believe.
I wish i had a digital camera to show but I dont. Hopefully I can get a friend to take some pics tomorrow.

take some pic and email them to crower to find out.
they did recently change their part numbers and are apparently using different cores now so they might have different engravings for their part numbers and stuff....

ok, thats what i am affraid of. I used to have a set and these do not share the same markings. ix (ingraved CROWER & imprented part number on the tip of the cam) But from eye balling they look brand new/ un used.
I'll prolly buy a tool to measure the lift & see if it matches up.
keep'em commin if you can help. thanks

Re: (Squirtle)
weird, looking at yours and mine. Your intake and exuast cams are complete opposite. Did you mix your cams up? or is it prolly just the way mine are? haha..
:EDIT: nvm, yours are mixed up.
Does you cams have any markings like the ones Ive listed tho? besides the crower inprents?
BTW, thanks for posten the pics.

Re: (JDM S1eeper)
My friend Chris (King Tut33) just went and looked at his stock LS cams.
above IN and EX, his do not say "75" like mine do. just a blank space.
His say:
One says In, R1 and G in castings along the cam
Other is Ex, R3 and H
so they dont match what i have. I'm leaveing to go by my friends to eye ball a stock set since i sold my stock LS cams w/ the old motor. I'll post what i find.
(Thanks for all the replys and Help guys!)

Re: (JDM S1eeper)
Yeah it sounds to me like they are actually B18a/b OEM cams from one of the gazillion years they were produced. I can't see why an aftermarket company would put castings similar to OEM and since no one with Crowers has said that they don't say Crower on them anywhere almost confirms it.

i have a set of OEM non-vtec cams sitting in my garage......i will try to get you pictures of them if you want to show you their identical.......
crower cams have a very distinctive finish and machining on them. plus they say crower right on them.
