Default pump failure....

ok i start my car it idles for about 2 seconds shuts off wont start. i am getting spark, i noticed the fuel pressure on my fuel gauge wasnt going up at all, i couldnt hear the pump prime when the key turned the ignition on, so i tapped it with a hammer and then it started. i drove home parlked it and orded a new walbro 255

now for my question; i am running 550cc injectors at 10psi uberdata. first and second gear pull pretty hard but then third and fourth feel kinda weak. would it be possible that the stock pump couldnt keep up and eventualyy it killed the pump?
thanks

you were probably leaning out due to having a stock pump , but no one can say for sure , you got the walbro on the way so problem solved . and you WILL hear the walbro prime

A whalbro is not loud. Now, an Aeromotive A1000 is loud.

well i got it all done, and i htink the 255 helps out from what i noticed tonight. The only wierd thing i noticed was that the stock pump from the b18a1 was larger in size than the 255 walbro, has anyone else noticed that? but now my clutch slips hardcore!
