so we went out tune my car last nite after th installation of my greddy kit. everything on the kit is fine . turbo is from a si kit. what i noticed was that the little thing on the wastegate where you connect the hose is a lil cracked. meanin jus the nipple thing rattles but its stil inside the waste gate.. also my exhaust manifold one of the corner bolts snapped off so there was somewhat a exhaust leak... we did a couple of WOT pulls and boost would hit about 9-10 psi .... later in the night boost would hit 9 at about 4900 RPM but would drop off to 5 right before my vtc kicked in at about 5500..... what could it be? i checked my charge pipes and no leakes.. could the waste gate be causing this? or is it the exhaust leak? or do i have a bigger problem....oh and btw it holds fool boost if i keep it at partial throttle all the way up to redline.

I was told myself by a tuner that its just the internal wastegate by greddy. I took my car on the dyno to tune and i saw that myself too.

 

anyone else?

 

i've also heard that the wastegate vacuum source could be routed to the bov, fpr or intake manifold to hold the boost up top...

 

anyone else?
