pros/cons
i was wondering if you guys could tell me some of the advantages and disadvantages of useing a water cooled intercooler. I havent seen too many apps that run this type of intercooler but the ones ive seen make pretty good power. thanks

water cooled intercoolers are sprayd (with water of course) which makes the front intercooler colder which makes the air that goes into ur engine colderr. get the picture? the name 'water cooled' explains enough

I don't think that's what the OP means. He's looking at Air-to-water intercoolers. Not Water intercooler Sprayers

glad i could be of service
Now to actually answer the OP's question, and this is just off the top of my head and may seem very obvious to some:
Watercooled IC:
Pros: cools the air more on most applications, more efficient, look baller as hell and undetectable from the outside.
cons: cost more, water could get heatsoaked so may not be ideal for long drives, harder to install.
Air to air IC:
Pros: usually cheaper, easier to install, they work excellent on 90% of setups.
cons: i can't really think of any, i guess they could block the radiator... this can be a pro or a con: can be seen from the outside.

Re: pros/cons (blinx9900)
water cooled setups are mainly for drag racers, since they aren't really moving fast enough to effectively cool the charge with just air passing through until the end of the run.. this is just my theory behind it.
