Default The project I’ve been work’n since Sep (56k get a book)

UPDATE PAGE 4
new pics added page 2

I would like to say thanks the elits3.com from letting upload a ton of pics.

The car is a 90 si

the plan, take a 90si

and add this gt2871r

HKS manifold

old set up

starting the mock up, johnnyracer black FMIC

trimed the fat, and welded it back together

hung

checking fitment

mocking up the charge pipes

BOV

insurance

man, ef have sooooo much room! not.

out she goes

Some times we need a kick in the *** to get started, this was my kick in the ***

This caused quite a stir a couple month ago lol

this is my homeboy Root, he is crazy dude!

new head gasket in. adjusting valves. yes thats my first attempt at a down pipe, and yes I’m ashamed of it.

oil return time

450 blue tops in and a new intake gasket

Dean, thanks for the engine prop

tuner toys oil T

i love that tq wrench

I decided to keep the stock flywheel, and that’s a CM FX300 Kevlar disc. The guys a Clutch Masters provide great customer service

“tobrocoup” (SP) came up with an idea to tap the bolt in the front of the block to feed the turbo coolant line. So I sole it. Seems to work pretty good. I taped the thermostat housing for a return line. All the tapping was done on an old block and then cleaned before installed. DO NOT TAP STUFF ON YOUR BLOCK!

I used a golden eagle vacuum manifold, I tack welded the nuts to the back of the fire wall to make taking it on and off easier.

It makes my brain hurt just to look at it. keep you dash in a cool dry place!

back in!

Sexy, aluminum

One step forward, two steps back., was the theme of this build!

Make a new down pipe, its ok because the first one was a travesty! I had to do something with the radiator as well it was supposed to fit crx’s but was too tall. I fab a lower mount and got a sweet 1400cfm fan for it. Ran the lines.

All back together, and tragedy struck! “cut it off, cut it off….OIL”. a few months back in a late night cram we put the head gasket on backwards. ****!!!!!!!. Well the next morning we hit it. Took the head off and replaced the head gasket. It only took us a few hours to get it all back together. I burned a base map on crome pro. Primed it and let it run through a heat cycle. Small problems, fan wired backwards, and a few really small oil leaks or it might just be left over oil from the great head gasket incident.

Now I just gotta tune it. I have crome pro and a plx m300, I need some help getting it all hooked up, like a how too.i posted on pgmfi.org but no response yet, here is a link to Pgmfi if you would like to look at the base map or give me a hand getting startedhttp://forum.pgmfi.org/viewtopic.php?p=55688#55688. And the same goes for tuners around where I live. So any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated.

Feel free to ask any questions that I might be able to help with. Thanks!

Sweet work man. I like the fab work for the rad mount :D I've seen a few ppl do the water return line into the front of the block like you aw well. Seems like a good idea to elimiate running 2 liens to the back of the engine. GOod job man

Mikey,
Again brother fugging sweet. Those engine props are for sale. Just to let everyone know Mike is an old school VW fan who saw the light and converted to Hondas. He has only been tinkering with them for about 2 years.

GODDAM that exhast manifold is probably the cleanest thing on there, that thing's sick! Where'd you get that thing?! Heh, glad to see it'd being used. If I had kept my hatchie, it'd probably never had been removed from the plastic.

Buildup looks great, really like the red & painted mouldings. I'm guessing that's the big Greddy Type-R bov. I like how the charge pipe is routed off the turbo, I was planning the same thing for mine. Just have to say though, it'd look better if it was a 4dr

You mean me??? Yeah I had that idea copyrighted so you will hear from my lawyers soon...J/K. It works great for me too, I used stainless hose and tapped it at the front water neck though. You should wrap(or even double-wrap) the DP, it comes pretty close to the plastic fan, mine melted a little once. Looks great, and everyone has a few problems when they first start it up, or a shitload in my case...

I dont get why so many people do the ghetto radiator sideways lean thing. Put the fan on the front, and bring the bottom of it more forward.
Like this...

Just weld some mounts on the radiator support in front of the traction bar. It will look much better His car is N/A but u can see how much room it gives you.

I hope Juncr-x doesnt mind
