Default Project almost complete but gota problem..

Ok ill start with the basic list of my setup

1998 EK

H23a non vtec Built 10:1 comp, Brain crower cams
H22 tranny
Hondata S200
3bar map
1000cc Precision
full blown 2 255 fuel pumps
AEM fuel rail and reg
10- fuel main feed -8 return
MSD 6al with blaster 2 coil and soft touch launch control
c16 fuel

So now here's my Problem The car is very hard to start as you can see in the video but once it starts it idle flawless! While its running i plug up the data logger and saying engine light only on for o2 sensor and everything on the screen reads fine, Map sig seems fine tbs seems to change % the right way when trying to give it throttle, Once the car is started i cant give it any throttle at all or it just stalls out no matter what, and hard to re-start

Things that i tried so far
1. Changed the dist 3 different ones but they were used so cant say for a fact but they did the same thing

2.The ecu is a p06 with the S200 i got a new ecu re chipped it and doing the same thing

3. I pulled the timing belt off and reset it and doing the same thing

4. Tried new fuel fresh can of VP c16

5. I took the msd off and hooked up the stock coil and doing the same thing

6. changed fuel filter took rail off and re checked everything

7. Checked all my injector wiring making sure plugged in the right place

Im sure there things im missing but i checked everything you can name other then the injectors but no way to test them myself..

In this cold weather its the tip in enrichment fuel tables. its hard as hell to start in this weather with a basemap, so save the C16, as its not helping. You need to get an emulator and change your "chip" settings so that its a LOT less fuel in there. That "chip" was never intended for Rochestor/Lucas 1000cc injectors, nor does it have the resolution to run them very well ( I remember that from '02, and it wasn't pretty).

So, the solution is, you got to get a better management system that's tunable without an emulator or ROM burner, unless you have one, or get rid of those injectors for now while you're getting this thing to they dyno..

That's about it. Changing the hard parts won't help you in this case.

I have the emulator and the pocket programer, I forgot to add that, I tried using a map i already had for a h23 with 1000cc's on a p06 and loaded it to the fuel tables and nothing changed, i even burned a new chip when i swapped ecu's nothing changed not even a blinking hondata light everything acting normal.. That's why its driving me crazy!.. lol

Same type of 1000ccs injectors? It's not a map for Bosch-style ones are they?

It could also be the ECT harness plug. Mine seems to have "crapped" out recently and I did a change to solve that..

Yeah same type, But that's why i even played with the fuel pressure to see if anything change, Ill check the coolent sensor, But i wouldn't think it would do that, Is there any way the injectors can be bad and still idle fine?.. Just hate to buy new ones for no reason, Ive already spent $500 replacing parts that could be bad and didn't fix anything..

this still seems more electronic than electrical.

Any other thing come to mind?.. Ive done at least 100 swaps over the pass years and never had this kinda problem, Only time i ever seen a car act like this is when the TPS and MAP are swapped but i did the harrness with the GM map plug before putting it in the car.. So that cant be the case and on the data logger its reading vac while its started like normal..

may need to get a tuner's perspective. you've covered all the electrical and hard parts, unless the harness itself is suspect

Hard to start, hard to restart, o2 sensor code, and engine dies. Sounds to me like fueling is way off.

this needs to be moved to the engine management forum so you can get better feedback about your problem

take the q16 out, put in fresh 93 and swap in stock injectors and see what happens then

with race gas and 1000s you need to take a lot of the cranking fuel enrichment out (less fuel) decrease tip in fueling and add some timing, q16 takes a good amount of timing to run right and get a complete fuel burn. I bet its running rich as **** at idle when it needs to be 13:1 or leaner.

Recently I have problems like this in my ls vtec turbo.

1- The hard start ended been the new AEM FPR. Put a stock one and it fired up right away. Put the AEM again and do the same (I can live with that). Thinking on put a inline check valve on feed line.

2- The stall and sputtering when pressing the gas ended been the intake manifold gasket blow in cylinder one by the bottom. The FU***** engine never sound like a whistle or have high or hunting idle.

Back at it again lil bit of free time..

1. Changed the fuel reg this morning to a band new inline one that comes off the rail, Same thing nothing changed

2. Pulled my timing belt back off again make sure the cam gears and all was on 0 and restalled everything and same thing nothing changed still starts and then stall if i touch the throttle

3. I put a timing light on it and with the dist was set in the middle is was reading 3 degres odd still because ive had many h23's and they all was around 16 with it placed in the middle but turned it to 16 degres and idle went up to 1100rpms and still stalls

If i can find a stock ecu and map sensor and injectors i can try that next.... ahhh
