The AT29C256 flash programable chip is not an option in the menu, can i use the 27c256 option to program it?

Anyone know?

Anyone have the newer software versions for it? it was bought over a year ago and now they want me to pay for new software?

 

I have V1.72 and it has AT29C256 as an option

You cannot use the 27C256 as the option for programming, as the programmer erases the 29C256 as it is programming. It won't do that if you select the 27C256. What version of software do you have? I have Ver. 1.42 from 25 Mar 2002, and its there.

 

i had to open the FILEPROM.exe

now i have the option but i can't seem to get the programer to work

where is the erase option??

 

and i can't seem to change it from 5v to 12.5 WTF?

You need 5V with AT29C256.

 

okay, thats what it's set on.

But when i load the bin and go to flash it, it only goes for like 1/10 of a second and gives an error message, same thing w/ all 3 at29c256 i got. They are new so they should be good.

27c256 burns fine, but i want to use the flash eprom!
