Problems /w newly camed b18b turbo
Alright, just last week we installed a obx intake manifold and a set of their new cams. I know what you might say, "OBX is junk." My seller is a big time racer and told me that my obx products are cast/made at the same place as skunk2....interesting. I got a KILLER deal that I couldn't pass up. Anyway, we installed the intake manifold with a little modification. We had to ground down the fuel rail stud holders to clear my fuel injectors, remove evap equipment, and bend/drill out holes on my throttle cable mounting bracket, done! The next night we installed the cams. These cams have almost identical specs as crane cams
AU-261-9S. It's their second grind that gave a BONE stock b18A 18WHP with no adjustable cams sprockets. With that in mind we did the install. With the cams now installed the car will not idle at factory idle, it just dies? We followed the factory honda service manual to raise the idle with no effect??? I held the gas at stops to keep it running on the road and it revs A LOT slower than factory and feels like it has lost power? Any help on this issue would be GREATLY APPRECIATED! Thanks guys.

You guys were correct We were off a tooth. We redid the timing and the car still runs like ***. I got some good info from a buddy of mine and he said the valves are too tight. They were set at stock. What spec should I set them at?

those should be good specs to use........just make sure the engine is cold when setting the valve lash.....

ok we reset the valve lash 7 on the intake and 8 on the exhaust and it did the trick. It idles very well now and revs normally. But, the cams/intake manifold don't seem to be making more power over stock?
