Default Problems with boost and wastegate... can someone please help??

ok, ive only had this drag gen 3 kit for a few months in my car.... gave the car to my bro to drive for a day while i was ill now today, driving to uni i put my foot down and i cant feel any spool up or g-force whatsoever! so i open my window and do it again and all i hear is a nasty fluttering sound while i try to boost it just feels like a normal hatch... i dont need this anymore.. ive just replaced the engine and everything should be runing normal at 7psi set boost through the turbonetics wastegate... well everything was fine till today.

What do you guys reckon it will be?? is my wastegate stuck open? or is my WG gasket gone?? if its stuck open? can i sort it out myself?? cuz theres no FI parts in the UK for my civic or if its the gasket, can i get my own made??

guys please help me out on this one..thanx..

Did you check all of your intercooler and charge piping to make sure he did not dislodge one of them? If not, he may have torn the diaphragm in the wastegate.

1. What kind of wastegate?
2. Sure it isn't a leak somewhere else?
3. Sure it isn't you BOV making the sound?

i checked the intercooler piping and its not that, and its not my bov. u think it may be the diaphragm in the WG?? please dont say that... this just gets worse man... all i know is that when i throttle it i hear a flutter like a tiny scooter and i cant feel the g-force like before, it feels like im losing pressure or im running on 1 psi!! i can still hear my turbo whistling but also the flutter... cant it be something else in the wastegate?? can it be stuck or something along them lines where i can whack it back to normal
help me out on this one and what should i do to it with minimum cost and time...

are you going into boost at all? i am willing to bet thats compressor surge your hearing and you have lost a vaccume line somewhere or you have a chargepipe blown off!

well, i havnt yet installed the boost gauge nor my J&S ultra-safeguard becaue ive no decent instructions, cant just wire into my ecu as theres soo many wires attached worse-more you go to a mechanic or specialist and tell him your probs and they ask what car? i reply a turbo-charged honda and they say im crazy why turbo a honda? cuz u cant beat it!! ha... theyre pathetic imbeciles!!
Anyway, i took my car for a blast, checked the wastegate, looks ok, the piping too is ok, the power is not gone, ive just lost the turbo build-up or lag or g-force kick or whateva they call it! when my turbo spools up. the pwer is not totally lost, if im cruising in 2nd and i wana floor it, the rev counter smoothly carries past the rev range and i dont feel the turbo kick in at 3-3.500 revs but i can feel the power is there but for no good and i can hear a fluttering noise too. oh by the way it a mark2 deltawastegate by turbonetics. and if its the diaphragm, can it be replaced or sorted by myself?? by the way... where is it in?? top of wastegate??

i have the exact same problem. i did pressure test using a air compressor (or you can use a bike pipe) and felt/ heard the leak through my EGR system unit..

also check all your vacuum lines..

edit: btw i'm only boost .2 bars when my wastegate is rated at .45 bars..
